Our team of highly-qualified inspectors bestow us with the capability of carrying out pre-charter condition surveys on vessels intended either for short term or long-term charter prior loading. We deliver a firm evaluation of the overall condition of the vessel (hull, deck, mooring equipment, safety equipment, cargo handling system, the water tight integrity of the cargo holds etc.) which determine whether the vessel in question is considered a pass, conditional pass or fail and complete the following:
Evaluate the overall condition of the vessel and report the findings;
Undertake a comprehensive risk analysis prior to vessel being chartered-in;
Perform a hatch cover test to check for water tight integrity of the cargo holds prior to loading;
Deliver a firm indication of whether the vessel is considered a pass, conditional pass, or fail, allowing loading to commence.
Our output allows vessel operators to make informed decisions about the condition of the vessel and in particular the water-tight integrity of the cargo holds, prior to confirmation of loading and prior to the vessel being taken on-hire for a single [isn’t it spot voyage?] voyage or t/c basic.
